Intrusive Pattern — Hexagonsound

The Intrusive patterns music video was a collaborative project with musician and visuals artist Hexagonsound. This project led me to explore sound-reactive visuals in Resolume. My creative focus was on layering and masking different textures and abstract patterns into short videoclips and dancers. Using sound reactivity and animating effects such as threshold and contrast to the beats the visuals created a fluid connection between sound and video.

Stable Diffusion / Audacity

Audacity -

Audacity is originally a sound design tool but using raw data sound effects such as distortion, change in pitch, delay and reverb adds effects to images. This meant I could glitch images frame by frame and turn them back into video.

Stable diffusion -

stable diffusion is an AI model that generates images from text prompts with the possibility to feed existing images into the model. For these projects I dissected videos and used text prompts to generate new images frame by frame to finally combine them and create videos.

Live Concert Visuals

My experience with live visuals comes from working in resolume to trigger clips live as DJs or Artists play. I also based my IB personal project on learning the creation and performance of concert visuals. The two videos above show my commissioned live shows at the Hideout bar in Lilongwe, Malawi. I plan to continue performing live with various artists

Figma Shop Prototype

In my IB Design class I was tasked to try web design using figma. I decided to create a clothing shop prototype with an interactive outfit choosing system. Though this project was created in a limited time frame I am very proud of the outcome and it led me to diversify my skill set.

Projection Mapping — Pig Sounds

This project was a collaboration between @gdldraws and I marking our first experimentation with projection mapping. We chose one of his graphite pencil drawings to create an audiovisual performance featuring collaborative visuals and my song "Pot Bellied Hog". Our goal was to create a live audio visual performance highlighting Gabriel's drawing. The show was presented in front of an audience with the visuals changing live through resolume.
